We offer you the possibility to discover the Colombian Island on an excursion that starts by pickingyou up from your accommodation in Tenerife. We will go to Los Cristianos to take the firs ferry to La Gomer. After a one-hour crossing, during which you will be able to enjoy magnificent coastal views of Tenerife and La Gomera, we will arrive in San Sebastian, the capital of La Gomera. Fromhere we will begin a circular route through the villages, forests, ravines and peaks of one of thesmallest islands of the archipelago, but full of ancestral traditions, beautiful landscapes and rich hiritage.

Although it is a volcanic island, La Gomera has not experienced an eruption for 2 million years. This gives it a unique character, crowned by slant, pointed rocks, such as Roque de Agando, that defy the passage of time, and crisscrossed by deep ravines that have required great effort and ingenious solutions from its inhabitants to inhabit and communicate with the island. The stone walls that support their agricultural terraces on the steep slopes of the gorges, like a giant staircase, and the Silbo Gomero, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2009 and currently taught in the island's schools, are evidence of this.

The island's peaks are covered with the best-preserved laurel forests on the planet, a fact that has earned it protection as Garajonay National Park since 1981 and its classification as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986. On our tour, we will walk through these forests, which date back to the Tertiary Era, and you will discover their importance for water catchment and the valuable treasure of biodiversity that inhabits them.

The rural world, its traditions and its paintful villages and hamlets will also play a leading role in our tour of La Gomera. The island is home to tens of thousands of palm trees, whose sap is extracted to make palm honey. We will tell you how this unique work is carried out and we will taste this delicious product during our lunch, which will also include other typical dishes and foods of this island, such as almogrote and gofio.

Before concluding our tour of the island, we will take a walk through the streets of San Sebastián, to discover its most emblematic monuments, the Torre del Conde and the Church of the Assumption, the relationship of Cristopher Columbus with the island on his voyages to America and other interesting places associated with his stays. Our guide will tell you with great passion numerous stories of the island's past, explain how the island has changed since the time of the native Gomeros and give you a picture of the present-day reality of the island and its inhabitants.

We return on the last ferry to Tenerife and take you back to your accommodation to complete a full day of discovering and enjoying the landscapes, traditions, culture, gastronomy and heritage of the island.

The ferry leaves Los Cristianos (Tenerife) at 08:45h and usually arrives back in Los Cristianos (Tenerife) around 18:00h (depending on the day of the week, the timetable may vary, we will inform you when booking).

It is necessary to be at the port 45 minutes in advance, at 08:00h.

Depending on where your accommodation is located in Tenerife, we will tell you the pick-up and drop-off times so that you can get to the boat in time.
